As part of our commitment to product security, we supply STERIS Customers with product security information to help them assess and address the vulnerabilities and risks. Specifically, we use the MDS² to provide product security information.

The Manufacturer Disclosure Statement for Medical Device Security

STERIS MDS² contains product specific security information related to the capabilities of the devices such as:

Operating System, services, and libraries
Maintaining, storing, and transmitting Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI)
Data back-up and removable media capabilities
Installing security patches and anti-virus software
Remote service access
Audit logs of ePHI access including viewing; creating, modifying, and deleting records; importing/exporting

The form also contains security practice recommendations for and explanatory notes on the product.

Existing STERIS Customers with Service Agreements in place may access MDS² documents via M!Link portal.
